The Chilliwack City Hall is a two storey building that is constructed from a mixture of wood frame and concrete walls (Willis Cunliffe Tait. Chilliwack Old City Hall Conversion to a Museum. p. 3). Both the external walls and internal load-bearing walls, of the upper floor level, are made of concrete. While the second storey walls and roof are made of a wooden frame. Although the building is built of two simple materials, the aesthetic appearance is prominent and powerful.
