Built in 1915, the CNR Railway Station in Hope, B.C. was constructed to serve the needs of the railway in Western Canada. The trains that stopped here were for both freight and passengers. The building continued to serve as the railway station for the community of Hope, until 1985. In the same year, the station was moved to the corner of Highway 1 and the Old Hope Princeton Highway.

Following its relocation, the building was purchased by the Rainbow Junction Community Arts Society. Although the owners and purpose of the railway station has changed, the building is still a center for social activities. Currently the Rainbow Junction Community Arts Society maintains the building as a restaurant and an art centre. Just as its original function, the building continues to be a meeting and gathering place for the Hope community.
