What do you think the differences in these two lifestyles may be?


Would there be many similarities between women's lives in these different time periods?



Make a list of all the various areas in which similarities and differences would exist between women's lives today and in the 1860's.

One example of an area of difference is government.

Discuss why women were unable to vote in early B.C. history.

Research and discuss the Women's Suffrage movement in Canada and British Columbia.



Do you think that it was fair that women did not have the right to vote?

Discuss the role of women in politics today.
