Potlatch
The word potlatch is a Chinook Jargon word, that means "to give."

A potlatch shares myths and knowledge through stories, songs and dances.

Events like weddings, birth, or death are celebrated with a potlatch.

At a potlatch the host gives guests expensive gifts.

The guest receiving the most gifts then has to throw an even larger potlatch.
